Which Child Protection levels do you provide?

by Andy
(Essex, UK)

We provide three levels of Child Protection Courses which are CPD Certified. These are run as one-day public courses in London, or we can come to you if you have a group to train. We also run a host of online training.

> LEVEL 1 is for those who 'come into contact' with children through their organisation or workplace and helps you to know what to do should a possible Child Protection issue arise. It looks at signs and symptoms, what to do, what to say and what not to say and how to record and report.

> LEVEL 2 is for those who 'work with children' e.g. school staff, teachers, non teaching staff, colleges, NHS staff, GPs, charities, corporate organisations and youth workers; Basically everyone who works with children.

> LEVEL 3 is Designated Person level or sometimes referred to as Child Protection Office level. This is the lead Child Protection person within your setting. Quite often more than one person is trained up to level 3 as backup to the main person in case they are on holiday, are ill or the organisation setting is large.

We run public one-day Child Protection (Safeguarding Children) courses in London (Woodford Green).

But to be sure, check with your organisation for their particular needs and requirements.

For more information, please call us on 01992 613780 or check out our website for training dates. We can also come to your organisation to train staff.

In summary, the answer to your question, Which Child Protection levels do you provide? The answer is Child Protection levels 1, 2, 3 and the CP3 day two Masterclass. We also provide a range of online eLearning courses too.

Child Protection course levels
by: Anonymous

That's really helpful, I was wondering which level of Child Protection training I need and you've explained how the three levels work, thank you!

Okay, I'll start with level 1 and go on to do the level 2. As I'm not a Designated Person, I don't think I'll need the level 3. Plus, we already have a Child Protection Officer in our organisation. I'll also ask them for their guidance - Many thanks!
