School INSET: Can Bullying in Schools Course be completed as an INSET?

Yes it can. The Bullying in Schools Course is usually run as a half day INSET and is suitable for all school staff including teaching staff, support staff and the leadership team.

The course looks at the different forms of bullying, eg. face-to-face, verbal and physical, cyber bullying, texting and social networking and proxy.

It then goes on to look at who it affects and the impact that it has on others...

Bullied children and young people: who are they and how do they behave? What do we need to look out for? Being proactive with children and young people - The school’s response to bullying - Building a strong non-bullying culture - Classroom management in relation to bullying - Followed by Case studies and tips.

The course is designed to help school staff to develop an awareness of potential bullying around them and how to respond if they suspect a child is being bullied.
